· The range is open during daylight hours for regular use
· Access is controlled via a locked gate
· If you're the first to arrive, unlock and secure the gate in the open position
· If you're the last to leave and see no other vehicles, close and lock the gate
· Exception: During scheduled maintenance periods, the gate may remain open (members will be notified via email and text)
· Located uphill and left of the clubhouse
· Covered target line with bag targets
· Distances marked from 10 to 60 yards

1. Never nock an arrow when anyone is ahead of the firing line
2. Keep drawn bows pointed only toward targets
3. Never point a bow and arrow at another person
4. Never shoot arrows straight up or into unseen areas
5. Verify target areas are clear of people and animals before shooting
6. Follow designated paths and shooting directions on all courses
· Inspect wooden and carbon arrows regularly for cracks
· Break damaged arrows immediately to prevent accidental reuse
· Handle broadheads with extreme caution - treat like razor blades
· Cover broadheads when not in use
1. Ensure all shooting has ceased
2. Get verbal agreement for "cease fire" from all present archers
3. When removing arrows from targets, stand to the side
4. For arrows lost behind backstops:
- Inform other archers you are searching behind backstops
- If you are shooting alone, leave your bow at the shooting position or in front of the target to alert new on-site shooters that you are down range and maybe out of sight
5. Resume shooting only when everyone is back behind the firing line
· No firearms allowed
· No alcoholic beverages
· No smoking except near clubhouse fire pit
· No shooting during scheduled work parties
· Shoot only from designated positions
· Members under 18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian
· Hunting privileges: Only club members may engage in archery hunting on the property. No other forms of hunting are permitted.
· Members may bring guests
· Guests limited to two visits per year
· Frequent visitors should join the club
· Members permitted to tent and trailer camp using sites adjacent to the parking area around the clubhouse and within aisles through the trees at the top of the hill.
· No water or electrical hookups available
· Pit toilet facilities provided for men and women
· Fires are only allowed in the fire ring near the clubhouse and with a recreational fire permit from the Philomath Fire District.
1. Call 911 for any emergency (health, fire, law enforcement)
- There is cell coverage near the clubhouse.
- Upper parts of the range have weak to no cell coverage
2. Provide location:
- When asked for the location of the emergency, state “Benton Bowmen Archery Range”
- You may be asked to confirm this is off Blakesley Creek Rd. Say “YES”
- If possible, have someone go down the driveway to help direct emergency resources in from Blakesley Creek Rd.
